1 whole chicken
2-4 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour
Salt and pepper
Tip: To give your chicken that golden brown look, spray a little olive oil or cooking oil on your chicken before cooking.
1. Pour buttermilk into a large mixing bowl and add chicken. Make sure you coat the chicken well since the buttermilk is what binds the flour to the chicken.
2. Combine flour, salt and pepper into a large sealable plastic bag. The bigger the better. Place chicken into the bag with flour and spices and start shaking. You need to evenly coat the chicken with flour.
3. Place chicken in the basket of the air fryer. Don't try to fill the basket to the top as the chicken may not cook correctly. If you have a large chicken you may have to cook in separate batches. Check the progress of your chicken every 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
4. Once your chicken looks ready, salt to taste and serve.
